Brush Clearance Annual Notice

Annual brush clearance notices have been sent to residents by the Forestry Division of the County Fire Department. Establishing defensible space around structures is important, and new laws and technology solutions are aiding the Los Angeles County Fire Department’s ability to ensure defensible space is maintained around structures. Inspections for properties on the Palos Verdes Peninsula is anticipated to begin on June 1st.

• Defensible space helps protect lives, homes, and the environment from approaching wildfires and flying embers

• Properties deemed to have hazardous fire conditions will be provided guidance and a minimum of 30-days to make necessary improvements
