National Preparedness Month is recognized each September to promote family and community disaster planning now and throughout the year.

The City of Rolling Estates is ready to help prepare you and your family with the necessary resources and activities to properly plan for a disaster.

Use the resources on this National Preparedness Month page to help you:

  • Create an emergency plan for your family.
  • Build an emergency supply kit.
  • Prepare for different types of disasters.
  • Teach your children about being prepared for an emergency situation.

The goal of National Preparedness Month is to create a secure and resilient Nation with the capabilities required across the whole community to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from the threats and hazards that pose the greatest risk to the area we live in.

Each week of the month will offer a new theme, with activities and resources you can use.
