The Community Development Department consists of three Divisions:

• Planning
• Building & Safety
• Code Compliance 

The department is responsible for implementing the General Plan 2040, and for regulation of physical development and land use within the City of Rolling Hills Estates.

Community Development Department staff is available Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (scheduling an appointment is strongly recommended).
